Merry
Nachemin is the owner of Extreme Elegance Image Consultants.
Merry
is a Certified Image Consultant, having earned her Certificate
from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology. In addition
to her Image Consulting Certificate Ms. Nachemin pursued private
training with Dominique Isbecque, one of the most noted image
consultants in the field and architect of the Image Consulting
Program at FIT. Here she learned about color as it relates to
image perception and its resonance with the skin tone of each
client.
Merry
is known for and has been professionally trained in cosmetics
application. Capitalizing on her observation that in our culture
"beauty is power", she has added a sophisticated
line of treatment-oriented cosmetics and skin care to her repertoire
of products and services.
Ms.
Nachemin received her MSW from NYU in 1979 and acquired advanced
clinical credentials over the course of her career culminating
in becoming an Adjunct Associate Professor at NYU due to her
teaching of many students in her facility. Following a successful
career as a licensed social work clinician and administrator,
she decided to combine her love of people, her mission to help
them achieve their lifelong goals and her passion for fashion.
Currently,
in addition to seeing private clients Ms. Nachemin regularly
dresses models for the runways during Fashion Week in Bryant
Park and other venues. She has worked with models for designers
as diverse as Betsy Johnson, Valentino and Carolina Herrera
among others. She recently completed work for the wardrobe department
of the major motion picture "See you in September".
While she does work with actors and models, she also works with
people in all fields who have the wish to improve their image
and get ahead. Her diverse clientele includes men and women
in various occupations such as physical therapists, teachers,
social workers and graphic artists.
She
also enjoys teaching Image Consulting and Etiquette Classes
at Wagner College on Staten Island. Look for articles written
