About Merry

Merry Nachemin is the owner of Extreme Elegance Image Consultants. Merry is a Certified Image Consultant, having earned her Certificate from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology. In addition to her Image Consulting Certificate Ms. Nachemin pursued private training with Dominique Isbecque, one of the most noted image consultants in the field and architect of the Image Consulting Program at FIT. Here she learned about color as it relates to image perception and its resonance with the skin tone of each client.

Merry is known for and has been professionally trained in cosmetics application. Capitalizing on her observation that in our culture "beauty is power", she has added a sophisticated line of treatment-oriented cosmetics and skin care to her repertoire of products and services.

Ms. Nachemin received her MSW from NYU in 1979 and acquired advanced clinical credentials over the course of her career culminating in becoming an Adjunct Associate Professor at NYU due to her teaching of many students in her facility. Following a successful career as a licensed social work clinician and administrator, she decided to combine her love of people, her mission to help them achieve their lifelong goals and her passion for fashion.

Currently, in addition to seeing private clients Ms. Nachemin regularly dresses models for the runways during Fashion Week in Bryant Park and other venues. She has worked with models for designers as diverse as Betsy Johnson, Valentino and Carolina Herrera among others. She recently completed work for the wardrobe department of the major motion picture "See you in September". While she does work with actors and models, she also works with people in all fields who have the wish to improve their image and get ahead. Her diverse clientele includes men and women in various occupations such as physical therapists, teachers, social workers and graphic artists.

She also enjoys teaching Image Consulting and Etiquette Classes at Wagner College on Staten Island. Look for articles written by Merry on the subject of image consulting in numerous local newspapers.
