Styling and Tools of the Trade

What makes a "stylist" different from a friend with good taste? A major trait is exposure to numerous fashion options and venues. Another trait is professional styling tools, education and full-time experience.

Tools include battery-operated "pill shavers", "Top Stick" for clothing that could be too revealing, specialized stain removers and many other items that could render currently unwearable clothing wearable again. A shoe awl and a leather punch can make shoes and belts that you currently own usable again…instantly. How do you pull that new sweater over your head without getting makeup on it? A stylist can show you and has the tools to make it happen.

A stylist also sees many possibilities in your wardrobe that you may not have considered. Chances are, that without shopping at all a stylist can pull together new outfits from the pieces you currently own. The stylist also thinks in terms of accessories. An outfit can look completely different or updated depending upon the jewelry, scarves, hose and footwear that you select.

The stylist will work with you to fulfill the needs that were assessed in your Initial Image Evaluation and will teach you skills to use for a lifetime.
